The 2025 LogiPharma AI & Tech Report reveals how pharmaceutical supply chains are moving from AI pilots to practical deployment.

With rising pressure from regulation, patient demand, and global disruption, leaders are using AI to strengthen resilience, improve compliance, and anticipate risk.

To build this picture, WBR Insights surveyed 100 senior supply chain leaders in Q2 2025, including Directors of Supply Chain, Global Heads of Logistics, and senior planners.

Respondents represented organisations across Switzerland, the UK, Germany, France, the Nordics, and North America. As in 2024, the survey was conducted by appointment via telephone, with results anonymised to ensure accuracy and candour.

The findings show cold chain logistics remains the most vulnerable stage of pharma distribution, with customs clearance and in-transit handovers the key weak points.

Companies are investing in blockchain, predictive AI, and real-time monitoring to address these risks. More broadly, AI adoption is strongest in demand sensing, compliance automation, and predictive maintenance, though cultural resistance and regulatory uncertainty remain the biggest barriers to scale.

Overall, the data highlights an industry at a crossroads: convinced of AI’s value, but still building the platforms, skills, and leadership needed to scale. Those that combine technology, change management, and sustainability will lead the next phase of supply chain resilience.

Many of the topics discussed in this report will be covered at LogiPharma Connect in November 2025 and LogiPharma Europe in April 2026.
